Hi there - does anyone have any info anout this year's Aberfest, if there is to be one? We went to a few events last year and they were all really good so we'd be disappointed if it isn't to be repeated. _________________ The compliments pass when the quality meet.
I've heard there is to be an Aberfest 2009 but they are still in the process of putting together the programme and will announce the details shortly. I know there is a craft fair which is part of the Aberfest at Ebeneezer on July 4th coz I'm having a cake stall there
Thanks for that msd. I figured it probably would be repeated as it appeared to be such a success last year, but I'd heard nothing about it. _________________ The compliments pass when the quality meet.
Aberfest 2009 Cardiff Polyphonic Choir are in concert at St.Michael's Church on Saturday June 27th. _________________ This is my truth. Now tell me yours.
Cwmtillery Communities First & CLEAN will be running the Great Outdoors Event at and around The Lakes area on Sunday 28th.
There'll be stall and I think a vintage car rally through the town on Sat. 27th.
Perhaps one of the 'editorial staff' can get a listing of what's on.
I've been given two tickets for the Cardiff Polyphonic concert ( which I'll be paying for ) but I won't be able to go ( Help For Heroes gig in the Doll's House on the same night ).
I'll be donating them to the RBL so if anyone wants to go to see what I understand is a really good choir just make a bid ( they're £10 face value ) by PM and I'll get them to you. _________________ Rocke
Anyone know if there's a quiz night this year and if so where and when _________________ Politics,n.Strife of interests masquerading as a contest of principles.

Ian, Abertillery Operatics are holding a quiz night on Monday 29th June 2009, upstairs in the Commercial, as part of the festivities. (teams of 5) It was really well supported last year. Start at 7.39pm
Thanks Mabel,I'll have to seee if I can make both this year, that's of course if the other one is on,............Diolch yn fawr Martyn, the old one's are the best. _________________ Politics,n.Strife of interests masquerading as a contest of principles.
. The Operatics always hold theirs on a Monday in the Commercial. Hope the other is on as both have been well supported in the last two years. First year down the Lymes and second at the Pendragon it was nice to see some old faces. _________________ My life is no rehearsal There'll be no curtain call encore, so I've thrown my screwed up script away to ad lib my life once more!
Thanks David............here's a puzzler for the quiz and also a serious question to any councillors reading it.Given that certain people have taken the michael out of me since the 1st quiz over the translation of Gelli Grug ie gelli= grove grug = heather. My mixing up of grug and crug(mound) as in Crug hwyel(Crickhowell) is fair enough, however why on streetmaps, multimap and even the road sign does it state Gelli Crug road.Seems I wasn't as drunk on that night as you might have thought I was see you in mound grove sometime soon _________________ Politics,n.Strife of interests masquerading as a contest of principles.
