Poor book Arsene and not many cinema pictures out there, particularly inside, pity, Pavillion in it's heyday hosted many a good show.

Many thanks Stoob I'm not 100% sure but my grandparents said that charlie chaplin may have appeared at one of the cinemas in Abertillery in his early days asa performer. Also Paul Robeson came to the valleys at sometime. Would I still be able to pick up a copy of the book you mentioned.

I bought it online from Waterstones, only 20 pages and nothing much of note in it.
Charlie Chaplin appeared over Ebbw Vale, but seen nothing that suggested he played Abertillery, there was however a gentleman named Charles Chaplin living in Abertillery around the time of the Great War, so it could be a spoof question.
I know Julie Andrews sang at The Ebenezer with the Bryngwyn School Choir, others of note were Joan Hammond, Petula Clark and Sandy McPherson.
