Is this an annual survey? I seem to remember having a 'discussion' on the old board about some previous findings.

Did not think it was going to be an annual thing but looks like it. One good thing we have improved we were 7th last time Laughing

Merthyr has slipped from 8th to second.!!!! The overall first was Hackney in london??? last year was Hull.

The research looked at all 434 local authorities in the UK again and ranked them on the same statisitics as lat time on the basis of crime,environment,lifestyle, education and employment.

saw the program Wales did not seem to have anything going for it, not even Cardfiff or Swansea both these places are okayon all the things they ranked. Did not think it was fair to show the dismantled courus site made the place look rougher than it really is. What happened to Merthyr to make it rise to second place I missed that bit Question

If Carolyn had watched the program she would have seen that Merthyr came THIRD and not 4th as was stated in the `News of the World` or 2nd as she no doubt read in the Gwent Gazzette..

Doh! Give him a biscuit! My name is indeed Carolyn and not Mystic Meg, if Brian had read my message properly he would see that it was posted at 3.24 pm prior to the program being aired and as I do not have a crystal ball I did indeed state that which I read in the Gwent Gazette. I did see the program and it would appear that even the presenters are a bit confused as to what position Merthyr was in last year. Thats statistics for you.
