Have a look at the front page as there are now more chances to win some great prizes in time for Christmas:
In addition to Martyn's Christmas quiz, I have added links to win a Christmas dinner for a small family, courtesy of the Abertillery Traders Forum and the Tillery Food Co-op (note to any expats, sorry but you'll have to come to Abertillery itself to enter that one as the actual competition is in the Communities First Office!
Ther's laos the chance to win a copy of a great book, Mr Vogel by Lloyd Jones' (described as one of the most important book ever wirtten about Wales by Jan Morris) courtesy of the Cwmtillery Communities Events Groups (CCEG) and Seren Books. That can be won online by answering one easy question! Click on the link on the front page for details.

I can remember a time many years ago now when my kids were young and there used to lots of competions in the town and great fun for the whole family to enter. The one favourite my kids loved was when all the shops gave one item from their shop and it was placed in the window of another shop. Think you were given a list of shops entering and you had to find the articles that did not match up, name the shop it was found in and the shop it should have been in. Not always as easy at it sounds but great fun
My lot used to come home from school and we would browse all the windows in town some shops were all lit up and there were no shutters in those days.
There was also a number of treasure trails which was fun for the adults as one or two of the cryptic clues were found in the pubs or clubs, naturally you had to stop to sample it's wares on the way round, great fun for the adults there was a time limit on this one so no chance to get drunk you had to stay sober to go on to the next clue _________________ My life is no rehearsal There'll be no curtain call encore, so I've thrown my screwed up script away to ad lib my life once more! |

| You're going to have to have a look at shops for the turkey dinner competition Carolyn - unless you know them all already! |
