Hello all

I have just spent around an hour deleting posts made by Adrian Monk and Ian (Boco) Jones which had all been edited so that they had no content. Like most users I lead a busy life and resent having to waste time in this way. To be fair to Ian, I believe the posts he blanked out were replies to Adrian's blank messages. Why Adrian did it I have no idea. In addition to wasting my valuable time, it makes the threads concerned very hard to follow and so inconveniences other users.

Users have the ability to edit their messages so that they can correct any errors, retract anything they have had second thoughts about, etc. To delete the content of old messages en bloc is pointless and makes the threads unreadable - I have in fact deleted several threads entirely because they consisted of what were now a series of empty messages from Adrian and Ian.

Hopefully users will agree that the administration and moderation of this board is very liberal. However, I am not going to waste any more of my time in this way.

To Adrian, Ian and anyone else who may be tempted to do this in future (although why they would is beyond me) : if this happens again I will remove your profile immediately and without any further warning. This applies to other profiles you use also (I am able to identify these via the IP address).

To all other users of the forum : I apologise for the difficulty you may find in following the threads affected.

I accept full responsibility for my own actions and I appologise as I believe I already have done.
I deleted posts on a thread I started on the EURO.
Adrian monk led me to believe it was not within the forum rules, so I tried to delete it as you will see by the conversations that took place.
Further more I deleted some of my replies to A/M on other threads as I learned through the forum that diverting from the topic totally is not acceptable.
This was because the term troll came up and i believe Martyn 142 gave the definition.
Once I knew this I edited the posts that I thought were unsuitable.
Also you will know that I have only one user name on this site and it is my real name.
Once again I appologise for wasting yours and other's time.
                                                                                        IAN JONES.

I think that's fair enough Ian.

We're never too old to learn - and never too old to make mistakes either.

I wondered if you and Mr Monk had decided to change your font colour to light blue, as a sort of secret society.
