A very, very sad loss but just where will the blame for this `accident` be lain.
No doubt people will shout `Dangerous road` but just what makes the road dangerous?
The simple fact is that no road is dangerous, it's the way drivers use the road that is dangerous.
As I said in the discussion about the `child seatbelt laws`, it's driver education that we need.
Maybe then we can stop this sad waste of life.
You may be right Brian but wouldn't it be better to wait until after the inquiry which is to be held before apportioning blame to the driver? We know that the road wasn't icy for example but do we know if the car was defective in some way? I don't anyway. It may well be driver-error but I don't think we ought to leap to conclusions really.

You are quite right. Martyn, about jumping to conclusions until the investigation is finished and all the facts are known. A person needs to be fairminded and willing to give the benefit of doubt until proven wrong.
Would you like to come to Vancouver and be a juror with me on the Robert Picton murder trial? They are going to need jurors like youself.
I agree the news of the accident is absolutly tragic and families, friends and the two survivors are no doubt still on in shock. It is far too early to apportion any blame to the driver until the investigation is compelete. Jumping to conclusions can initiate harmful rumours, the surviviors and families of all concerned need some time to come to terms with their tragic loss. _________________ My life is no rehearsal There'll be no curtain call encore, so I've thrown my screwed up script away to ad lib my life once more!

Hi Johnnie - no you are welcome to that one! The information I've seen make me think you are going to be asked to look into some pretty gruesome details. Good luck with it Johnnie
I don't think Brian was `jumping to conclusions`.
At no time did he apportion blame to the driver but all he did was make the point that whenever an `accident` happens people are always ready to blame the road!
And let us not forget that the car was a Vauxhall Corsa which is only suitable for a maximum of 5 persons to travel in but in this tragic `accident` it appears that there where 6 persons in the vehicle.
I totally agree with Brian in that this again screams `MORE DRIVER EDUCATION`
