Thanks.

Alice lived next to my Maternal grand mother in Marlborough Road..

My dad was Alan and my mother was Mary [nee Cowley].. I spent all my youth with my Gran at Cwm Nant Y Groes.. We used to ride our bikes on the old rubbish tips.. Remember when they flattened them all, we used to jump in front of the diggers to collect the unbroken 'pop' alley bottles !!

I vaguely recall Jack's daughters.. Used to visit Charlie and Sal in Pant-Y-Pwdyn on a regular basis.

I know Jill and met John [he was in the RAF] a few times, he lived in Pembrokshire, married an English girl called Frankie, used to run a pub in Pembroke, they had two daughters..

Alice and Jack Gough lived nest to my Nan in Marlborough Road, again i vaguely remember their children, Dianne rings a bell..

Used to visit Aunty Vi regularly and took Gran to visit here when on leave at the nursing home..

Regards

Phil

Well at least its nice to know she is still around somewhere. I guess she would be approaching 60 now. Unfortunately, Avril passed away some years ago.

Hi Haydon
Sorry to here about your sister. If she was the same age as Jill she must have been quite young.

I think Jill would be a bit oldeer than 60 tho, as I say I am not sure where she is living. The last I heard it was Cwmtillery.

Regards John

Jill lived in Marlborough Rd, after her divorce ,maybe she`s still there,
she married John Phipps.
Mary was still living in the family home in Bryngwyn Rd ,at least up to a few years ago
I knew the Cowleys and the Goughs in Marlborough Rd
it`s frightening how quickly  time passes

Jill is married to Hugh Phipps actually. Mary still lives in Bryngwyn Road. She retired from teaching some years ago.

He may have been dragongirl. He worked at County Hall Cwmbran at the same time I did. I imagine he started there in 1974 when Gwent was created so he may have come from Abertillery.
