Hi
Can anyone help me with information regarding a store I believe existed in Abertillery in 1891 census at 3&4 High Street known as London House. My grandparents possibly met there before marrying and setting up their own "London House" in Oakdale.
My grandmother Margaret James worked originally in David Morgan's Cardiff as shown in the 1901 census. I am trying to ascertain how she came to move to Abertillery.
My grandfather Joseph Oswell Thomas, who was also in the drapers trade, was the son of Daniel Lewis who had a shop in Newbridge.
Thank you :)

| London House was Pontlottyn Shop - Morgan & Francis - the owner of which created Morgans in Cardiff. It might have been that she was promoted to a position in the Abertillery store. |
