Ivor Beynon, who found fame on the X Factor, will appear at Slugfest 2 which will take place in Abertillery on the August 7 and 8.

Ivor’s tongue-in-cheek performance was not rated enough to win him a place at boot camp four years ago, but he did make it into the Top 10 auditions which gave him further appearances on the show and UK-wide fame. Now, after the success of last year’s Slugfest, Ivor will be screaming life into the event that features a showcase of 16 bands with varying musical styles. The festival will take place at the Dolls House, Alma Street on Friday 7, followed by the Mount Pleasant, Alma Street on Saturday 8. All proceeds and profits of the event going to the Hospice of the Valleys.
