THERE’S £250,000 of Lottery money up for grabs in Wales and Assembly member Trish Law wants groups in her Blaenau Gwent constituency to apply for a slice of it.

Since its launch four years ago the People’s Millions has offered viewers of ITV regional news programmes the chance to vote for which projects in their region should receive Lottery funding. The People’s Millions has so far awarded nearly £1 million to 18 projects across Wales and this year it has on offer £250,000 to four Welsh projects and to the best runner-up.

“Here is a great opportunity for groups in Blaenau Gwent to apply for a one-year grant of up to £50,000,” Mrs Law said.

“The one stipulation is that entries must be for a project that will provide opportunities for people to enjoy their local area, whether indoors or out, or improve local facilities for all to enjoy.”

Applications are open until May 15 and winners will be decided by public vote screened on ITV regional news programmes in November

I'd buy a hovercraft and then be able to get out of Brynithel without being rattled by the potholes on Cemetery Road or Blaencuffin ..... but there again, if I did win the lottery why would I even stay in this pathetic country?

I know what you mean Terry, Blaencuffin was suppose to be resurfaced last financial year and the stute hill. Another broken promise.... Sad

Someone mentioned on the weekend that local lottery winners bought super luxury caravans in Trecco bay.......I'd go a bit further away though....Weston-Super_Mare ? Laughing Good on them for doing what made them happiest!

It would be payback time for some I would pay a local misunderstood unemployed yob to break into their houses and hide a dead fish or something equally obnoxious where it could not be easily found.  Buy a holiday home in Tenby and leave the country
