If you were asked to sign a petition against something, which you may well agree with. The paper work printed granted looked okay but could do the same myself but also asked for a £1 donation in signing, but again was optional. Would you be suspicious or am I overly cautious.
Yet again a known child charity also knocked on my Father's door, bearing in mind that he is 80 asking for a monthly donation in return for a monthly magazine and requested his bank details on the door step. would you again be over cautious in refusing although you may well wish to support the charity? _________________ My life is no rehearsal There'll be no curtain call encore, so I've thrown my screwed up script away to ad lib my life once more!
I certainly wouldn't gibe my bank details on the door step. I'd be happy to accept a leaflet/donation form which I could complete and return later when I've had a chance to check the address and validity of the organisation.
I've had several people try that to me in the past. I always tell them to poke off. You never really know who you are giving your details to. If they were that kosher, they'd provide other ways for people to donate.
