Assuming I have the correct family, I knew your uncle Joe. We played bowls for Crosskeys together, sadly he passed away a few years ago. He lived opposite the fire station  just below Wainfawr Park between Crosskeys and Risca. His wife came on our bowls with Joe on many occasions but I dont know if there were any children, I will make some enquiries this week and let you know.
If you go onto another site " Abertillery Past and Present ", you will find some photos of R.P.Jones's lorries and I believe he would have been your grandad. You might even find some comments on the photos from family members. Joe always had his own lorry as well. Best of luck with your search.

Ivor Jones and Laura M Jones did reside 21 Victoria Road, Six Bells in 1956.
There's also a Ronald Jones and Hannah Jones listed as living at 15 Rhiw Parc Road, Abertillery in the 1970 electoral register.
Believe the lorries belonged to Robert Philip Jones, and Walter Jones had a part in the 1936 film "The Citadel".

I bet he was glad they didn't use them in 'Hell Drivers'.
