Tell us again David Rocke about the sound of stone on metal as the scythe was sharpened in preparation for cutting away the Independents sorrowful years of political ineptitude in the fields of Blaenau Gwent
What a shower forever insulting the memory of Labour Bevan and Foot,
History shall tell us more about the years of misery and despair when Hillman Rocke and crock were at the helm of the aptly named Aussie big ship David Sook need we ask why it never once left harbour
They would rather we all  forget about the time when Blaenau Gwent under Independents authority was the first Welsh local authority to go into special measures after a report found systemic management failures?
It was then that Cllr Rocke the self appointed mouth piece started to exchange sniper fire from behind his crumbling barricade of don’t blame us, And when his leader Hillman was taking it in the neck over that damming Estyn Report Rocke said And any of us councillors that tries to make political capital out of this should be resigned to losing the support of their constituents, General feeling he said is that we wouldn’t be in this position if labour wasn’t in power down in Cardiff
And when Independents wrongly assumed Labour were going to introduce fortnightly rubbish collections and Wheelie Bins Trish Law AM said such proposals would go down like a lead balloon in Blaenau Gwent John Mason a future deputy Independent leader said it would encourage more fly tipping
When the bins arrived under an independent led leadership cost of buying £500,000 £10,000 to have micro chips installed, and £30,000 to have them in kept in storage,
I hope people won’t say Eddie Legge is making this all up just to get back at Rocke and those who of late has been calling him a fat gutless liar
To be honest I put their insults down to childish schoolyard behaviour  I shall take my pleasure from reminding Rocke and his anti labour brigade  about the resounding victories labour had when taking Blaenau Gwent back from Independents at Westminster Cardiff Bay and Council Chamber Ebbw Vale;
I believe Rocke sweated so much over wining local election, that when Hillman campaigned for true Independents, Rocke reinvented himself betraying his past and running as a non affiliated candidate
Made no difference to end result independents wanted to blame postal votes and the Tory Lib Dem alliance for their disappointing election results  excuses excuses
Before I close a word about the present financial crises When the Tory Lib Dems slashed funding to our Welsh Assembly they knew that all 22 local authorities in Wales would have to make savage cuts to public spending and in so doing hoping to turn communities against their local labour led councils, It must be a very unpleasant task for all concerned when having to decide what public services to cut and save Please remember It isn't only in Blaenau Gwent that elected councillors has to make such difficult unpopular decisions. Tories out Tories out let that be our biggest and loudest shout

Well Kev:

1) It wasn't the words or keyboard 'skills' of Thomas Edward Legge;
2) It would have taken Sue Roberts about 2 weeks to craft that;
3) Cllr Winnett would have taken even longer (and would have withered under the criticism, given her abject desertion from the board of Tai Calon);
4) Cllr Sutton is probably too busy holding crisis meetings.

However, perhaps they - and others - all wrote a sentence each?
(Mind you, much of it could have been cut and pasted, given it's the same regurgitated carp over and over again).

I'm not sure who did Kelvin there are so many Eddie's these days.

On the subject of who posted what can anyone guess who posted this?

Breaking news

I’ve just returned this morning from the public gallery at Blaenau Gwent Civic Centre in Ebbw Vale, where the People’s Voice/ Independent political leadership voted through the boroughs council tax increase for the year ahead.

The Council tax rate for band D homes will go up by 4.26% this year.

This big 4.26% increase is the highest in Gwent (Torfaen posted their 3.35% increase yesterday) and the 4th highest in the whole of Wales. Labour wanted a lower settlement, but the Peoples/Voice Independent grouping pushed their high rate increase through, just winning by 16 votes to 13.

One clue they are not a Con/dem member.

Well the first thing is how bad is it that ONLY 29 councillors were in attendance?
There's 42 councillors for this Borough.

I don't know what year Knightsbridge Nick was talking about but I'd say that not enough os Labour's 19 ( that's NINETEEN) councillors at the time attended this very important meeting.

Had they have done so then of course citizens wouldn't have 'suffered' a 4.6% increase in their Council Tax.

And any cuts that would have had to be made as a result:

* WOULD NOT have resulted in throwing breadwinners on the scrapheap;
* WOULD NOT have lead to loss of services;
* WOULD HAVE led to me suggesting the cutting of councillors' allowances, and voting with any faction that agreed.

But then. which one(s) would have?????????????

2006 - Des Hillman rightfully campaigns against Labour's 'cars for the boys and girls'.

2008 - Des Hillman, Leader of the Council, fails to incept a policy of getting rid of Cllr McCarthy's joyrides.

The Old Boys' Club, simple as.

A very naive Des Hillman accommodated Labour's excesses, rode the storm that 'Eddie Legge'tried to create - and got shafted by 'the Old Boys' Club' in return.

Not a clue politically, as seen down at Llan Stute.

He'll probably stand against Aberystwyth Al in 2016, failing tom realise that he'll take vital votes from Michael Rose, split the intelligent (ie. anti-Labour) vote and hand Aberystwyth Al another term.

Mind you, if he does stand it will be because his missus has ambitions.

That's the one thing he and Cllr McCarthy have in common.

Will they ever redeem their souls more like.

Anyway, where do we start?
Ah yes:

* Street Lighting switch-off could endanger lives (delays to Emergency Services etc).
* £13.5 Million investment in Abertillery allegedly saved from cuts.
* Fortnightly collections and wheelie bins a bad thing.
* Cuts in the workforce
* Privatisation of Social Carers
* Outsourcing of Meals on Wheels (now brought it from Cefn Forest)
* Proposed relocation of War Memorial (without proper consultation)
* £70,000+ a year put into Councillors personal pension pots

To go back to the original post I'd say it looks more like Tories In, In, In.
