Last week I was held up in traffic on the A467 between Llanhilleth traffic lights and Crumlin while workmen errected a sign saying " Blaenau Gwent ...Home of The National Eisteddfod of Wales 2010"
This week same road, same place while workmen removed the sign?

I don't believe this!
They've move a hundred yards up the road and are re-ericting the sign!
Who's paying for this ?

They must have encroached on to CAERPHILLY COUNCIL PROPERTY.
And  instead of working in harmony, BGBC were asked to resite the sign on their own PROPERTY.
Just a theory.

So  where does Caerphilly end and Blaenau Gwent start?
There seems to be a very large gap between the two signs (even before it was moved).

I'm not 100% sure, Rocke can probably clear it up.
I believe the river is the boundary.

You gents got there before me.

I was stuck in the traffic as they put it up on Tuesday, wondered where it had gone on Weds, and was then stuck in the queue as tjhey erected it in the right place on Thursday.

It's highly likely they put it up in the wrong place.

I'd have thought the clue to the boundary was the 'Welcome to Caerphilly Borough' on the river side of the road.

Anyway it was my intention to ensure we weren't getting billed twice. I'll be asking about it when I'm over the Civic next week.

So Brynithel must be at the centre of Blaenau Gwent as all of the pot-holed roads seem to lead to here! Evil or Very Mad

I take it Phil that you don't use the road from Llanhilleth horshoe bend to Swffryd hill. I'll pit (no pun intended) my road against yours any day  Crying or Very sad  Wink

No need to go that far Martyn, just try the bit on the end of King St. how can they have resurfaced a couple of feet up it and left all the potholes, all they had to do was go another few feet.............beggars belief..probably in the realms of the cheapest bid for the contract winning. Hello Phil,
Surprised you noticed the pot holes you usually had your light out playing hide and seek ,if you want to see some true infra-structure pop up to Roseheyworth Estate ,don't come by car as suspension repairs are very costly.
                             Cheers Barls
