A Blaina man is preparing to jump out of a plane to raise funds for his niece who suffers with a serious respiratory condition.

The community of Blaina have rallied together raising funds for Bethany to be seen at Great Ormond Street hospital in London, Bethany's uncle, Gavin Hillman is leading the way by taking part in a sponsored sky dive on June 30th.

He will be accompanied on the day by Maria Dawkins, a nurse in Neville Hall Hospital's children's ward.
