Pleased to announce Antony Partridge topped the poll and was elected as an Independent Councillor for the Abertillery and Llanhilleth Community Council.
Ross Edwards Labour took the other seat.
Congratulations to both.
let us hope you both work for the Community of Abertillery and Llanhilleth and do what is best for it.

It is interesting to note that Nick Simmons (Independent) came 3rd only 20 votes behind Labour even though the  Labour AM and MP for Blaenau Gwent were out canvassing.
Does this indicate Blaenau Gwent is once again turning away from Labour?
This result must surely have them thinking very hard over in the Civic and Cardiff.

Police called

Ian Jones nothing said about why the police were called to remove David Rocke from the Abertillery and Llanhilleth council chamber, It hasn't surprised me Ian when you are in contact again tell him Eddie Legge has made comment about the disturbing incident on Facebook and wants Rocke to reply
Ian Jones

Mr Legge will you please stop spoiling threads especially one that regards the election of Councillors for the Abertillery and Llanhilleth Community Council.
Will you please stop spreading your ridiculous rants over any and all threads you see fit to, and confine your remarks to relevant threads thank you.

Belt up Jonesy

Ian Did you real have to make those stupid unjust  comments about the Blaina Means Test protests (Blaina Riots ) insinuating Eddie Legge was drunk on-shandy when during the miners strike he destroyed a photo of Thatcher in the Blaina  Cons Club And as for your Anti Labour friend will he not tell us why police were called in order to have him removed from council chamber
martyn142

Eddie, you must see why people get annoyed. You post a comment unrelated to the election and then you post another which relates to a thread which you've already contributed to. It's easier for people to look at the things they are interested in if you keep to the subject, but you very often don't.

A lengthy reply

Martyn I am not so well blessed as yourself when making comments However my asking about what happened and why police were called to remove Rocke from Council Chamber has encouraged him to write a very lengthy reply,I ask you Martyn would he have done so had I not asked
martyn142

I wasn't criticising you for asking the question Eddie. It's just I think it would be better to have asked it on a different thread. Then anyone wanting to read about the election could have read this thread and anyone wanting to know about Rockey's alleged exclusion from the council chamber could read yours. It just makes it more convenient for people.

Anyway I've made my point and I won't pursue the issue.
Rocke

I didn't write a very lengthy reply at all.

I COPIED A COMPREHENSIVE LETTER OF COMPLAINT THAT HAS BEEN SENT TO THE PUBLIC SERVICES OMBUDSMAN.

Oh, and I bet mine gets a lot more attention than some that the PSO's had.   Wink
