Ah well...Turns out it wasn't to be. We went to Wembley yesterday full of hope but returned disappointed. Not too disappointed though as the Bluebirds played as well I could have hoped. But one mistake cost us.
Still we had a fantastic day, enjoyed the Wembley experience a second time in a couple of weeks, saw the team run their hearts out, plenty of excitement and a warm, friendly atmosphere between both sets of fans. And personally I'm glad we lost it to team who are like Cardiff in many ways - a port town with strong local followings and passionate supporters. Plus a rich backer in their case
Here's hoping we hang onto our talented youngsters, but with Everton having already put in a bid for Joe Ledley and Man U, Arsenal and Liverpool all chasing Aaron Ramsey it seems unlikely.
Still never mind eh?

Capital turns out to welcome the boys home | Quote: | A DAY after Cardiff City’s players were denied an FA Cup final victory, the smiles were back on fans’ faces as they celebrated the Bluebirds’ remarkable cup run.
Up to 10,000 supporters packed sun-kissed Cardiff Bay yesterday to welcome the Bluebirds back from Wembley after their 1-0 defeat to Portsmouth.
The celebrations may have been missing one silver trophy, but grateful fans, some nursing hangovers, took the chance to cheer their stars’ success in getting so near to the ultimate prize.

It was a shame but they must be congratulated for playing a good game and getting as far as they did

I'll be cheering Hull on tomorrow for the play-off final. It was bad enough going into work with Cardiff losing but if Bristol City win a place in the Premiership it wil be too much to bear...
