Dear Thomas Legge,

As you have seen over the last few weeks we are busy selecting candidates in our battleground seats for the next General Election.

The process is underway in both Cardiff North and Cardiff Central, where we are looking for candidates to win the seats back from the Tories and Lib Dems respectively.  These are both all women shortlist selections.

With the election two years away these are great opportunities for candidates prepared to put in the hard work of campaigning and with the energy and commitment to build and lead teams of fantastic party activists.  Be under no illusions that being a candidate in a key seat is hard work, but it is really worth it!  The prize is that you get to represent your constituents and make a real difference in parliament for them – but it also means you will become part of a Labour majority at Westminster which will see Ed Miliband enter 10 Downing Street and David Cameron and Nick Clegg packing their bags!

Dear Eddie

Can I please bring it to your attention that this site is dedicated to Abertillery and not Cardiff.
Ian Jones

I must agree with kdwent, and furthermore the contempt that Eddie Legge shows for Abertillery by posting this is quite evident.
And if any other person/persons are as some on the forum seem to think either feeding Mr Legge or posting on his behalf it also shows the disdain they also have for Abertillery.

Back to all women short lists...our survey said....?

Ian Jones Abertillery Forum has a thousand members not all live in the area
Some not even in Wales Why is it wrong for me to let Abertillery Forum members know that the Labour Party are looking for women candidates to contest sets for the next general election in Cardiff North and Central

Seems that part of The Party's Manifesto might be that all first names are to be regarded as assexual.
Presumably anyone who implies that a forename is gender-specific will commit a crime of sex discrimination.

Mind you, you would know where you stood when chatting up a bird in the pub:

"Hello. Not a bad band are they. What's your name?"
"Thomas".
You know straight away that you're on a loser.

Unless you use my chat-up line.
"Mine's Rocke - Davina Rocke".
