Below is a photo sent in by Ian Jones (Boco). The man seated is Ian's great grandfather. Edwin Assender. Standing are his daughter Alice, her son and grandson. Four generations!
The photo was taken at their home in Lancaster Street, Six Bells.

I wonder if you've noticed the thread below -- British Legion 1940's-- it was started by a lady in Kingston Surrey and she mentions a Betty Assender, any relation ?If so, that bike did a lot of miles. Just a coincidence I hope but that's very near where my family are from (and my father had ginger hair).

I dislike to discredit a fellow Forum Member, however I think the photo' of Ian(Bronco) Jones family is--, unfortunately a Fake. I saw Ian in the Fancy Dress Shop trying on a false beard and a frock coat, the people behind are from the "Coal House "TV" Series". He paid for thier services by buying them drinks in the Fountain Inn in Blaeanvon, except for the child of course, he just promised him a few pints when he's older, if I was that kid I wouldn't "hold my breath", Ians not famous for "getting his round in". If you look closely Ians "Greatgrandfather" is wearing a Rolex watch and there is a Ford Focus in the background, and Sky Dishes on most of the houses, and I think I can see Rocke 'canvassing' for support before he goes to the Mersh for a few cheeky vimtos. I'm sorry Ian that I had to expose you so publicly but this Forum is based on truth and integrity!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mr Monk - Six Bells isn't not my Ward.
