Blaenau Gwent Infants School 1932-1949

Does anyone remember being taught, or their parents being taught, at Blaenau Gwent Infants School in the period when my mother taught there 1932-1949. She was Beatrice (Beatie) May Hutchings when single and Beatrice May Everley after marrying in 1948. I have formal details from the schools attendance register etc, but it would be nice to add some informal comments to her family history. Also, do any photographs of the school exist as none appear in Old Abertillery books or online?

Blaenau Gwent infants school

I went to to this school in 1941/42 when the Head Mistriiss was Miss Coles and I clearly recall the time she caned me for requesting a proper musical instrument instead of the tamborine I was given.
I clearly remember having to wait outside of her room which had beads hanging down the door.
I was at that time living at the Mount Pleasant Hotel in Alma  Street with my parents

Re Blaenau Gwent Infants School

Hi Mike
My mother was born on Victoria Street, Blaenau Gwent, in 1930 and she said she attended the Infants School there.  But she can only vaguely remember your mothers name.
