British School 1947-1953

Can anyone remember any of the Teachers in that era? Three come to my mind Mrs Crozier, Miss Handy and Miss Snell

Teachers in the British school.

I remember miss Evans in the first infants class, and also a big rocking horse among the playthings. In the boys junior school Jack  Thomas from Alexander road was headmaster, and mr Phillips from Abertillery road in Blaina was my teacher in the eleven plus year.

I was born in 1942 as you were aber42, so we are talking the same era.  Only recall a few girls names from the infants, Mary Pearce, Denice Ennis,Maralyn Pittaway, Wendy Bull?Gillian Badham, who I recall playing the piano accordian in front of the whole infants school aged about 6.I also remember we had to put our small bottles of milk in the hearth of the roaring fire because they were very often frozen solid in the Winter time.Smile Laughing
