Car-friendly Abertillery

Well, where do we start?

All week, PCSO wandering up and down Church St booking cars parked in the lay-bys. Nothing worng with that, they a\re there for Disabled people, short stops - drop-offs, pickups etc -  and loading/unloading.

All week, cars parked on pavements, by Wetherspoons stopping buses etc. no bookings at all.

At least the first group of sinners aren't blocking the road, pavements etc.

Do the Police and council (because obviously it has said something) understand the concept of prioritisation ?

GET THE CARS OFF THE PAVEMENT AND OUT OF THE WAY OF BUSES.

Next, sign on the Foundry Bridge informing people that the Health Centre Car park is for the exhibitors of classic cars.
THAT'S NEXT SATURDAY NOT THIS ONE, OR SUNDAY, MONDAY etc.

Finally, sign outside the Doll's House - 'this road will be closed on 28th June for 2 days'
WHICH ROAD?

The Doll's House is in Alma St.
Is it part of Alma St, all of it, just the bit between the Doll's and the Bridge.
Any member of MENSA or the Society of Psychics on here?

This reminds me of a few weeks ago when I saw a couple of PCSO`s booking cars parked on the pavement in Princess Street. It was Monday morning so there were only a couple of cars and of course they shouldn`t be parked there.

Contrast that with the following weekend when I saw a young mother forced to push her pram along the road to avoid the long line of cars blocking the footpath. Not a copper in sight.

As for the Wetherspoon`s corner; they should just tow `em away.
