Christmas Decorations

First ones spotted in Portland Street (5th November) mad or what ?

If this is true I don't think mad but rather use the term "sad"

We used to live on Tillery Road in the 1980s/90s and a family there always put up their decorations the day after Bonfire Night.  Shocked

By the way - decorations or trimmings? We always used to call them trimmings when I was young, and I still do.

Mad  Sad  or maybe even Bad might be appropriate   I'm all for brightening up the dark  dismal  dreary winter nights  but surely a week before and a week after Chritmas is enough time to display decorations / Martyns trimmings   Having them exhibited for about 8 weeks must take the edge off it

We  should be grateful for the energy rip-off in one respect.

I've known houses in Alma St be lit up like Christmas trees in October.
