Cobler's Tump

Does anybody know if Cobler's Tump and the "Twmp" were the same place ?
The latter overlooked the tinworks so probably Castle & Vivian Street area.
Grumpy

Cobblers Tump used to be 115-121 Somerset Street now demolished.

Called Cobblers Tump because they were above the cobblers which was 117 Somerset Street.

Appreciate that, Cwm Street or Somerset Street.
Just looked at the Neil Milkins book and can see Mortimer's at number 90 and Horler's at 155 so can visualise the location.

Re: Cobler's Tump

Something rings a bell.  Wasn't the Royal Oak also known as the Twmp ?

I have been told that before the cobbler's shop there was
a fish and chip shop there run by a Mr and Mrs King.
Were  the houses  (115 -121) situated at the top of the flight of
steps next to Gooders  the Printers ?

Only know The "Twmp" overlooked the tin works Mary.
Believe Royal Oak owned the land sold to the gas works.
Remember those steps up the side of Gooder's though.
