My great grandparents Thomas Cole and Florence May Down were married in Bedwelty in 1915, I understand they were cousins.
Florence was born in Abertillery in 1895 to Charles and Annie Down who originated from Somerset.
Thomas was also born in Somerset to parents Samuel (who was deceased prior to 1915) and Rose.
Thomas' siblings were William, John, Maud, Arthur, George and Charley.
I am not sure if all the family moved to the Abertillery area but George was also married in Bedwelty in 1922 to Lena Green and they had a son called George.
Thomas and Florence eventually moved to Yorkshire but not before my Grandad Kenneth was born in Monmouth in 1919.
I am interested in any information anyone has on the Coles particularly as all the family I know reside in Yorkshire and am having difficulty locating the Welsh connections.
