My father-in-Law, whom I never met was called Ernest James Jones born c.1910. He married an Edith May Thomas c.1930/5. Ernest lost an eye as a child after an accident while playing with a watch spring. Ernest eventually went into the army serving in Burma as a medical nurse. When he returned to Wales a few years later when his son Derek born 1939 was 6/7 years old he and his wife divorced. I would like to find out if anyone knows anything at all about Ernest. I think he eventually went to live in Norwich I believe. Ernest's father was a highly respected policeman who worked for the Abertillery police force around 1930's.
Ernest's nickname was Sarg. Can anyone help me with info re this man.

I knew Sarge when I was a boy. He was the security officer at Six Bells Colliery after retiring from the police force. He lived on the Warm Turn in Six Bells and used to breed budgerigars.
My father eas a keen gardener as was Sarge and I used to visit his house on a regular basis with my father as they used to swap plants.
