Get in touch with your AM Alun DaviesDear friend,
· Joint surgery with McMillan Cancer Care
Alun is holding a joint advice surgery with McMillan Cancer Support on Friday 10 May from 11am until 1pm.
The event which will be held at Bedwellty House, Tredegar will offer information and support relating to cancer at a drop-in advice surgery.
You can also meet with Alun at this surgery to discuss any other issues you may have.
I have attached a poster with the details of the surgery. Please feel free to print it off and display in your local shop/café etc. We also have posters in the office if you would like any more and are able to help in spreading the word about the surgery.
Please tell your friends and neighbours about this event.

· Minor Injuries Unit Campaign
Alun is launching a campaign to raise awareness of the Minor Injuries Unit in Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan. He is calling for enhanced services to attract more users to this fantastic facility such as a centralised 24hour pharmacy and a dedicated out of hours GP service to be based there.
Currently only 10 people a day are accessing the MIU and this could potentially lead to its closure. This really is a case of Use It or Lose It!
We will update you with the campaign shortly.
· Contact us
As always please get in touch with the office on 01495 311160 or write to us at 23 Beaufort Street, Brynmawr, NP23 4AQ if we can be of any assistance. Alternatively you can email Alun on email@example.com

Where do we start with this one ?!!!!
How much lower can Messrs Smith MP and Davies AM plumb?
Nick's feeding the poor and Alun's associating himself with MacMillan.
That's nice isn't it?
Then it's 'use it or loose it', the MIU ie. what used to be called 'A & E'.
What do you expect the public to do 'Eddie' - deliberately cut themselves cleaning the spuds?
A better way would be for us all to get our Uncle Alberts out and about, falling into potholes and tripping over uneven and cracked pavements.
Or wait - perhaps I could connect with Alun Davies using one of the extremities of my anatomy and one of the more rounded parts of his, since I'm not Rhys Ifans.
