INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION.

FOR ANYONE INTERESTED IN THIS SORT OF THING, WHO DOES'NT ALREADY KNOW.
THE SPACE STATION IS VISIBLE OVER ABER QUITE REGULARLY.
THE WIFE AND I WATCHED IT TONIGHT AT 11-40pm.
THE TIMINGS GIVEN ON THE SITE ARE VERY ACCURATE.
HERE IS A LINK TO THE NASA SITE.

I don't need to join anyone but I will talk to anyone, even you Aide.
My head may well be in the clouds A/M but yours seems to be further south, just below your Equator so to speak  kissing your brain no doubt.
Enjoy your place in the sun, hope it's not page 3.
Please try and write about the topic even if all you know of space is the void between your ears, and your memories of  FIREBALL XL5.

I gather it's getting a bit crowded in space as well.
A record number of astronauts all together isn't it ?
IAN(boco)jones

That is quite correct rocke glad someone is interested in what passes over Abertillery, as well as what passes through it. the space station going over was quite a sight you can get all the dates its visible from the link.
There are a record 13 astronauts in there at the moment, with 5 space walks planned for this mission.
You might be impressed with this bit of driving to, don't think your probe will go quite this fast, and parked with such accuracy.

During the delicate docking maneuver the two space vehicles traveled at 17,398 miles per hour as they approached each other, giving Commander Mark Polansky a margin of error of 4.5 centimeters to complete the procedure, NASA said.
Rocke

Don't forget though that it's not speed but relative motion that counts.

They're going in the same direction so probably won't be touching at more than a few mph.

Mind you, being accurate to 4.5 cm after travelling a few hundred miles isn't bad.

I see that tomorrow at 22:59 the shuttle and ISA can be seen.

Yes rocke your right, this is the latest list of sighting times for the I.S.STATION. and the SHUTTLE.
The timing is very accurate by the way.
