labour home again

Who said is Eddie Legge an election liability, Who said Labours plans to sweep back into power in next May’s Council elections have suffered a setback following the removal of Eddie Legge from Abertillery Online
Who said your continued paranoia is doing no favours for your chosen ‘Party’ bullying shaming, and demeaning people into submission dose not work and is not the way to encourage anyone to vote for your chosen party either
When I said you know it makes sense to vote labour, I was not as Carolyn suggests bullying and shaming the electorate to do so
And to Admin thanks for bringing me back as a 76 year old I might never have the opportunity to be involved again

Well no-one mentioned you in Cwmtillery.
Come to think of it, that's probably why you weren't an issue - you're not that well known really.

All those letters in all those newspapers, all the claptrap on here - and yet you weren't an election issue.

Does anyone know anyone who said 'I'm voting Labour because that wonderful old gentleman Eddie Legge knows what he's talking about' ?
Precisely.
That's why you weren't a liability - not enough people have heard you.
stoob

He can't hear you Dai.
Allegedly he's out in Brussels liaising with Neil and Glenys.

or a job
Rocke

And you are ... ?

Erm... not the talking point tonight.
That's all weekend I've been out and no-one's mentioned Eddie Legge.

76 years, and in the latter ones striving to make a name for himself, to the extent that he'll let anyone use his pseudonym in the interest of 'The Party'.
How many come to you and say 'well done Eddie' ?

Yet how many more say 'what a lickspittle old fool, allowing his name to be used' ?

I've been out tonight and it's been very rewarding. All the talk is of ME, and not one mention of 'good old Eddie Legge'.

The best epitaph I've seen is on a headstone at St Pauls.
It reads:

"He achieved neither fame nor riches
More than this, he gained the respect of his fellow Man"

That won't be on your gravestone will it ?

Rockie you been a baa baa boy, and you mutton do it again.  Laughing

Why did he lose

David Rocke is probably correct when saying Eddie Legge is not known in Cwmtillery having said that and according to election results neither is he
May I remind the ex councillor that the growing demands of public duties, one can only reap what is sown?
For those who put nothing into the land will get little out of it
All politicians should be held accountable for their time in office and should be judged on what they have done towards the betterment of all in their constituency
And what has ex councillor Rocke done besides writing reports on the times labour leader has used civic car and lest we all forget the tit for tat name calling in local press between Rocke and Hillman, The people I have spoken to was not at all impressed and like my self were not at all surprised to know they were both removed from office
There is no denying that Hillmans Real Independents and the no party given candidates were also rejected by the voting public
What I find hard to understand is why an intelligent person should wish to use sarcastic comments and insulting words when replying to another who hasn’t
About being important people who know they are think about others, People who think they are important think about themselves
Keep the sheep jokes coming Rocke you have at the least given Mr Jones somthing to mutton about

Eddie not Eddilies Legge

Hi Eddie,
with all due respect, Rocky did plenty for Cwmtillery, he was very involved and active, and the people in Cwmtillery know this is the case. I take it you havent spoken to many people in Cwmtillery.

You seem to be a knowledgable person, out of curiosity do you know any of the councillors personally, or anyone in a relevant position within the borough (dont get me wrong its not a bad thing), or perhaps someone close to you knows of relevant people.

I know alot of information anyone cant get if they read papers etc. but you are knowledgable, which is good. Just curious.

Why are you so anti Independant / non party candidates (or ex), most of them are true old Labour men, being so Labour yourself I dont understand it, or are you true 'new' Labour. Independants or non party are not groups, you shouldnt judge one Independant and tar all the others the same, again they are not a group/party.

I wouldnt be surprised if the Labour party starts or eventually try to get some of the Independents back on board with them, re-recruit them.

And why bring up old quotes, you bring it on yourself, dont bite, you have done some of your own tit-for-tat. I didnt quite get the previous comments but reading through your posts it is very odd, if you are more than one person, why dont you all use different user names.

Well if this is the kosher Eddie Legge I'm surprised.

Anyway:

"To Dave,

Thanks for your continued support over the last four years.
We hopefully look forward to working with you during the next 4 years !!

From everyone at ........
"

I've omitted the organisation because I haven't asked its permission to use the comments on a Thank You card I received just before the elections.

And again:

"Dear Dai,

All members would like to thank you for supporting us in our community project held on........

It was great to see you and hope you enjoyed the day.

We would also like to wish you good luck in the forthcoming elections.

Once again, many thanks.

Yours"

That's an email ( and again I've removed identifying info because I've used it without OKaying it ).

I'll leave the people of Cwmtillery to rip the rest of your nonsense apart.
btw - it's amazing how your grammar and spelling have improved dramatically in such a short space of time under a Labour council.
Let's hope it does the same for our children.
