MARKS & Spencer has announced plans to open a brand-new Outlet store at Festival Park – a decision that will create 35 jobs.
The new 10,000 sq ft store will create new jobs for the area and will bring the total number of Marks & Spencer Outlet stores to 48.
The Festival Park M&S Outlet store, which opens on October 1, will stock a wide range of quality Marks & Spencer products across womenswear, menswear, home, lingerie, footwear and beauty.
Nick Bullock, head of Outlet Stores, said: “We are delighted to be opening a new Outlet store in Ebbw Vale.
“The store is in a great location and will offer customers an extensive range of high-quality Marks & Spencer products at great prices.
“Most of which are at least 30% lower than the original high street prices.”
Ian Sanderson, director at Chester Properties said: “We are really pleased that Marks & Spencer is coming to Festival Park. Marks & Spencer is a strong brand to anchor the development and will bring a new dimension and excitement to shopping at Festival Park.
“With this being the only Marks & Spencer store within 40 miles north of Festival Park, we are pleased to provide our shoppers with a leading brand that they have waited some time for.
“The creation of 35 new jobs is also great news for the locality.”
The new Marks & Spencer Outlet store will be open to customers between 9.30am and 5.30pm on Monday to Saturday.
There will be late-night shopping until 7pm on Thursday.
It will also be open between 11am to 5pm on Sunday.
Blaenau Gwent council has welcomed the announcement that Marks & Spencer is to open the brand-new Outlet store at Festival Park.
