Dear Thomas,

David Cameron has ordered the biggest re-organisation of the NHS since it began in 1948.  It is unnecessary, unwanted and damaging.  It threatens to end the NHS as we have known it.

I know that many of you have already joined the thousands of people who have called on the Government to stop.  But they are ploughing on, ignoring public and professional opinion.

It’s time to make them listen - Click here to tell David Cameron to Drop the Bill

If people speak with one voice we can still stop this Tory-led Government’s reckless Health Bill.

That’s why today I have launched the Drop the Bill campaign.

It will bring together all of the campaigns over the past year from all of the organisations that have been campaigning to save our NHS.  It aims to show the full weight of opposition to this Government’s plans.

Over the next three months I will be visiting every English region, together with members of my Shadow Health Team, meeting patients, health service staff and party members.

Together we need to send a clear and unambiguous message to the Government – Drop the Bill. Click here

Together we can get the Government to listen, but it will need all of us.

As Nye Bevan said:  “The NHS will last as long as there are folk left with the faith to fight for it”.

The NHS, our Party’s finest creation, has never been in greater danger.

Well friends, I know you share my faith in the NHS and I hope you will join me in this important fight to save it.  Let’s get ready to give the Government the fight of its life.

Thank you,

Andy Burnham MP
Labour’s Shadow Health Secretary

It`s a bit short on detail. And anyway, what does this have to do with the NHS in Wales?

If you ca

Very interesting Eddie. A couple of things though:

1. Why have you again copied and pasted an email sent to you personally?

2. Was it sent to you? The salutation is 'Dear Thomas'. Strange.

3. You appear to have got bored with yet another message half way through. Or maybe it's a quiz and we have to finish off your sentence? 'If you ca...'

I'll have a go - 'If you can understand what I'm on about, can you let me know?'

What do I win?

The link doesn't seem to work XPOP.
Rocke

It won't because it's been truncated ( the '....' in the middle ).

X P O P - you need to get the vid on screen and then copy and paste what's in the address bar of your browser ( the bit that starts http://www.youtube near the top of the screen). That'll be the full bit.

PS isn't it youtube.com as well ?

Cheers.

Thankyou Martyn & Rocke , I do apologise I am having p.c problems at the moment.
I actually came across this Video via  www.dwpeaxaminations.blacktrianglecampaign.org
Its a Forum for many thousands of people who have been losing their benefits under the Employment Support Allowance ,Work Capability Assessment  programme  at the hands of the privitised company ATOShealth, slightly off thread here I know , but many in  S E Wales and inparticular the Valleys will be affected by this .
At that forum  under Topics  Announcements  Hit the button for DWP examination on you tube  try that   , the forum makes for some interesting  although disturbing reading , I hope the above works .

Unfortunately I can't get 'Topics' on the site, possibly because it's asking me to log in or register.

Use X P O P's URL www.dwpeaxaminations.blacktrianglecampaign.org to try for yourself.

There is this one, though I'm not sure this is the one X P O P's referring to:

Yeah Thanks Rocke   the link you have posted will take you to blacktriangle campaign   the dwpexaminations forum is a sister site on there to link you , I am still having a few p.c problems here .

The link you posted for youtube was well worth the view, thanks for posting it ! theres further evidence on the  other videos of the cruel and ruthless tactics from Atoshealth  the "Privatised" company that undertakes the Work Capabilty Assessment and reports back to DWP JobcentrePlus resulting in many thousands of genuinely ill and disabled people being forced off their  Benefits and deemed fit for work by these so called Health Care Professionals who assess you for approx 30 minutes !

The S E Wales region and in particular the Valleys where many have had to undergo the  W C A  resulting in the so called H C Ps of this privatised company are completing reports containing inaccuracies , which is now apparent throughout other forums resulting in Benefits being lost .
Anyone who has had an unfair decision from a recent W C A resulting in their benefit being stopped or reduced should demand a copy of The Doctors Report and The Decision Makers  report, you are entitled to this , If you feel you have been unfairly awarded points then make this known to The Blaenau Gwent MP , Mr Nick Smith !
Privatisation of The N H S is creeping in through the Back door by the seem of things ,

Thanks Again , Rocke !

At the risk of verbal attack..............

Do these Work Capability Assessments also get people back to work who are basically taking the tax payers for a ride and not working because they are lazy?

Am i wrong in thinking that if you are genuinely unable to work the assessment will recognise this and you continue to claim benefits?
Rocke

Not absolutely sure what they're about.

I know someone who has had a painful medical condition for some time but has continued on Jobseekers, until it was fully diagnosed about 4 weeks ago, when they then went onto sickness benefit. They have a note from their GP up until 5th Jan.

Last week a letter arrived telling them to go before a board on 6th Dec. They have written back ( on my advice ) saying that they are going in to the Heath on 12th Dec. for invasive surgery.

They have a serious, but fortunately not life-threatening or life-changing, condition.

It's how you sort the wheat from the chaff is the problem.
Carolyn

I would suggest that he does as XPOP suggested and demand a full copy of the Doctors report and The Decision Makers report which ever way it goes.

My Doctors report was quite fair and comprehensible, the Decission Makers report is based upon the doctors report, however mine outlined two medical conditions I did not have rather than the ones I did. Administrative clerical error ? Poor handwriting? or maybe the lack of use of a medical spellchecker was to blame  Rolling Eyes  Laughing
