Police in Blackwood are appealing for information after a 33 year old Cefn Forest man reported he was abducted and assaulted.
The incident occurred as the man was driving from Blackwood toward Penyfan Industrial Estate area on Monday March 10th, 2008
Having travelled over Chartist Bridge at approximately 7.15pm, the man, who was driving a Black Mitsubishi Colt, noticed he was being followed by a silvery/gold N or M registration old style Astra occupied by one man. The man stopped his car when the driver of the Astra flashed his lights.
The driver of the Astra, who was believed to be wearing a balaclava got out of the vehicle and walked over to the victims car and sat in the car beside him. The victim was made to drive to an area which has been named locally as 'Dukesy's farm' on the Forestry Drive on the Cwm to Aberbeeg Road where the offender was joined by another man and both assaulted the victim. The victim was found in a semi conscious state by a passing motorist at 3.45am on Tuesday March 11th. He was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries.
Police are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the cars on the Blackwood to Penyfan Road or may have seen the vehicle parked up on the Forestry Drive on the Aberbeeg to Cwm Road is asked to call police on 01633 838111.
