SAMUEL FAMILY MEMBERS STILL LIVING IN ABERTILLERYAre there any members of the Samuel family still living in the Abertillery area?
My grandfather was Togarmah Samuel (wife Ellen, nee Coles) who kept the Somerset Arms pub in the 1940's and he had brothers named Benjimin, Edison, Archie and Redres and I recall another relation of his called Gral Samuel, who was a lifeguard at the open air swimming pool on the old Blaina Road and he also played water polo for the County, his son was Billy Samuel who went to Abertillery Grammer school.
He passed away in 1963 whilst retired and living at 123 Gladstone street
Any information on the Samuel family would be gratefully received.

I have just seen your message on Abertillery - Online
Its possible my sister has already contacted you regarding the Samuels family, but if not-
Cliff and Martha samuels living in Somerset St until the end of the 1970s/ early 80s
They had 3 children Evelyn - my mum, Marjorie who still lives in Pontypool and John( now deceased)
I remember them mentioning Uncle Gral
There is a cousin Maureen who still lives in Abertillery - Married to Terry
not sure of her married name but I could find out

Forgot to mention - I think there was some discrepancy about whether the surname was Samuel or Samuels
and originally it was Samwell!
