Sawtell Family.

I am looking for information of the Sawtell Family . Believe they lived at 33 Lower Gwastod Terrace, Cwmtillery. My mother Rita lived there with Parents Alfred John and Mabel Elizabeth. She had brothers Ernest Jim ,Ivor and sisters Gladys and Winifred. Grandfather worked at the Pit . Not sure what as. Think Mother and siblings went to Blaentillery School. Would like to find out where Granfather died and is buried. Think it might be Newport. Any information welcome. Thanks Phil Manners.

Alfred John and Elizabeth Mabel were living at 33 Lower Gwastod between 1922 and 1938, probably earlier.
Didn't see other Sawtell's listed but electoral rolls so age dependent.
A few lodgers there in that period though, recall a couple surname Silk and one or two others.
Don't think the family were at that address after the second world war though.

Didn't see anyone surname Sawtell on the 1915 electoral roll.
Probable the family moved to Cwmtillery between 1915 - 1922.
