My appolgies Haydn somehow I missed this posting. A member kindly posted a link to it tonight.

The photo was taken of Gelli Crug school in 1961. Not sure if it is a class/year photo since some of the pupils are of different ages although back in those days there were two intakes in infant schools one at Easter and one in September depending when your birthday fell you were placed in different years which no doubt followed on throughout schooling. I don't think the ages are that far apart I know a few of them but not all. It could well have been taken for a different reason

Are you sure about the year this photo was taken?

I remember some of these faces from when I was at Gelli Crug. I don't think it's possible that it was taken in 1962, it must be earlier than that!

You may be right Ray I did not go to that school but my sister and many friends did. The photo was sent to me by one of the girls on the photo and 1961 was the date she gave. Looking at the photo my sister said it was not a class photo as there are a mixture of ages around either side of the age group. I have no idea why the photo was taken
