I could not understand all of your message well hardly any of it other than a few words as I am just a new learner but I guess that dragon fly is "gwas y neidr". How would you pronounce that please. Does snake and fly mean the same in welsh

The pronunciation is "gwoo-ass uh (er) nayd-err". Don't worry about getting everything right, everyone makes mistakes.
I don't know if both the words "snake" and "fly" are the same in Welsh, because I don't know what the word for "fly" is, but snake is "neidr"

Do not know the codes for the last two so would have to do it the way you suggested.
For European key boards there is an "Alt Gr" key press this key and while it's pressed down press the ^ key (above the 6). Release the keys and type the letter to place the 'to bach' on it:
