Shwmae Nannataff,

Mae'r gair am "dragon-fly" yn "gwas y neidr". Ydych chi'n siriad cymraeg neu o hyd yn ddysgu? Ydych chi'n bwy yn Abertyleri ney Gwytyleri?

Diolch yn fawr.

I could not understand all of your message well hardly any of it other than a few words as I am just a new learner but I guess that dragon fly is "gwas y neidr". How would you pronounce that please. Does snake and fly mean the same in welsh

Hey, before I start the proper reply, I'd just like to say sorry for not posting in English also, I always do, but I was checking over my Welsh and just clicked post. And keep learning, you'll get there (I'm STILL trying to get there!). OK, now for the post

Shwmae,

Mae'r cynaniad yn "gwoo-ass uh (eh) nayd-err". Paid yn becso am yn rhoi popeth yn iawn, mae pawb yn wneud camsyniadau.

Sai'n gwypod os mae gairau y ddau "snake" a "fly" ydy'r un yn gymraeg, oherwydd sai'n gwypod beth mae'r gair am "fly" ond mae snake ydy "neidr" Very Happy

Hwyl am nawr a than amser nesa'

Glenn

Hey,

The pronunciation is "gwoo-ass uh (er) nayd-err". Don't worry about getting everything right, everyone makes mistakes.

I don't know if both the words "snake" and "fly" are the same in Welsh, because I don't know what the word for "fly" is, but snake is "neidr" Very Happy

Bye for now and until next time

Do not know the codes for the last two so would have to do it the way you suggested.

For European key boards there is an "Alt Gr" key press this key and while it's pressed down press the ^ key (above the 6). Release the keys and type the letter to place the 'to bach' on it:

Mae'r gair "thanks" yn y Gymraeg yw "Diolch" heb y neu .

Nawr, am enwau, mae hi'n Sin, nid "Sn". Mae rhid i chi edrych i fyny'r gairau chi moyn i wypod i weld os mae "to bach" efo nhw!
