South Wales Gazette ArchivesThe Cybertyleri group that runs the Abertillery Online website has now started its South Wales Gazette digitisation project and in the future will be producing a fully searchable archive from 1888 to 1937, which should be of tremendous use and interest to local and family historians.Cybertyleri is grateful to Newport Library as partners in this project, to Gwent Gazette (Trinity Mirror) for permission, to Iimage Retrieval who are assisting with the project and to the funders. To whet your appetite, we will be producing snippets of the some of the stories from the January editions from 1899 which tell of life in Abertillery and the surrounding towns and villages at the turn of the 20th century.
