Street cleansing :
Is the coucil responsible for cleaning dog mess left by irresponsible owners?
I ask because there has been an increase in these droppings outside peoples homes which isn't cleaned by the dog owners or the home owners....
I have a dog and always poop scoop - I also clean it from my front when the irresponsibles leave it there after their dog has fouled.
What about dog mess on footbridges, who cleans that ?
Thanks

Don't look like they have been in the past, I can remember a time when you could not avoid stepping in it unless you were an expert at hopsotch but a good number of dogs roamed the streets then it has been improved since impounding. you can still develop your skills at hopsotch by trying to avoid the chewing gum, there has been a great increase in human droppings

The council has the ultimate responsibility to keep the streets clean.
However, regarding dog mess the owner is committing a crime if they knowingly allow their dog to foul.
Call 311556 to report dog mess to be cleaned.
The Council has a dog/litter warden and if you know of a particularly badly affected area give the council a call and hopefully the warden can come down and see if things can be sorted.
