Sounds good - hope everyone enjoys themeslves. It would have been nice if at least one event had been scheduled for the weekend though. Not everyone in the valleys is free during the week  Crying or Very sad

Totally agree Martyn, I am sure that there are a number of people who would be interested in these walks.

By coincidence, we followed one of the walks tracing the route of the Ironworks just today, which was really interesting (day off).

We have recently returned from walking in  the North Yorkshire Dales and regularly walk here at home.  Although the landscape is beautiful in the Dales, it is no more spectacular than the views in these valleys.  However, inYorkshire they are much more geared up for those who want to explore.  There are signs everywhere with village names and distance markers, so even a novice can find their way from one place to another.
It would be good to see that around here.

If anyone is interested we went to the Annual Black Sheep Brewery 'Boots and Beer Walking Festival' in Hawes.  Well worth a visit for all types of walkers and those interested in Real Ale.  The Black Sheep Ale is excellent and we would recommend it to anyone.

p.s. the walks were good too!

Hello Mabel.
Nice to hear your comments. To a certain extent they echo mine.

There are plans to mark out walks around Cwmtillery/Blaentillery ( The Flight, Level, Horseshoe Bend etc. etc. ).

However, anything anyone has to offer is good feedback.

Thanks.
