Zulu/rorke's Drift/Parade DVDZULU WAR HERO DVD
Nearly 600 people from across the UK came to Blaina on 21st September 2008 to honour Private William Partridge, a Zulu war veteran who took part in the famous defence of Rorke’s Drift.

Thanks to a grant from Awards For All, a souvenir DVD of the day’s events is now available.
The DVD features:
Biography of William Partridge and details of the defence of Rorke’s Drift.
Parade to St Peter’s Church, Blaina
Parade led by the Regimental Band of the Royal Welsh , Regimental
Mascot and Royal British Legion Standards.
Service at St. Peters
Service and unveiling of memorial plaque. Performance by Beaufort Choir
Service at Graveside
Dedication of Headstone Performance of “Men of Harlech” by Beaufort Choir and Regimental Band of the Royal Welsh. Gunfire salute from
Martini Henry rifles, the same type as those used at Rorke’s Drift.
Interviews with family members, Curator of the Regimental Museum and local groups involved in the days events.
