A SPONSORED Fun Run in aid of The Starlight Foundation takes place on Sunday, June 8, at the Hafods in Brynmawr, starting at 10am.

There are six challenges, a 3km walk, 3km run, 5km walk, 5km run, 10km walk and 10km run, something for everyone to have a go at. Any further information required please contact Andrea Smith of Fitness Recall on 01495 290222.

Starlight Children's Foundation brightens the lives of seriously and terminally ill children by granting wishes and by providing entertainment in hospitals throughout the United Kingdom.

This year Starlight will assist over 400,000 children and has grown to become one of the UK's largest wish-granting charities. Starlight has also diversified to provide different forms of entertainment for children when they are in hospital. Starlight receives neither Government nor National Lottery support.

To refer a seriously ill child to Starlight or to make a donation, simply log on to www.starlight.org.uk or call 020 7262 2881.
