Hello Dave,
I believe the photo of mam dad and aunt may be the lane that runs along the mountain behind attlee avenue, probably just after the trees were planted. The lane is now upgraded and the forest fully grown,at the end of the path is a large picnic area which is to the rear of Arail View.

That is where I thought it to be as well we used to call it Ty Samis (Some said tree sammys)  I have a photo (A few) somewhere of the area taken before the Roseheyworth club was built and before the bungalows at the end of Attlee Avenue and Ty Bryn.  The road leading to and behind Cock and Chick during the 60's I believe to have been more than a dirt track

Hi Dave I see you are a bit hit with the ladies. Cool  Mary Ann has been a member since last Dec and rarely participates in the forum, although she uses the pm service on a regular basis almost daily. Maybe your photos are the big draw.  Laughing  Laughing

Mary Ann, just copy the image link from photobucket, imageshack or Tiny pic and past it into the forum reply. The is no need to use the image code in the forum it'self

That's the main road through Llanhilleth - Commercial Road, looking North. You can see Christchurch Aberbeeg, where the hospital was based in the distance.

Keep 'em coming Dave  Very Happy And don't give up Mary, it's practice which makes perfect after all!  Very Happy
