Dave the exact location is directly above attlee avenue, which is at the bottom of the field to the right.Your parents would have come up past the entrance to attlee avenue, turned left 100 yards further up towards cock and chick school, passed Brutons farm on the left, the quarry on the right and are probably 600/800 yards towards Blaina, nearing what we used to call the ginny, whiich takes you down to thier left to the new houses, or even further on down to the park extension. The background is arriel mountain on the right, and six bells/ Brynhithell mountain in the background.I planted trees to the left 50 years ago with John Lewis and Albert Mason, and lived on attlee avenue in 50/60s.We also lived in Ashfield road, our back gate being on Edward street, but I cant put a name to your parents.I do remember the Pauls, Denise Enniss,Derrick Davies whose father was a builder, and Veals at the top.Hope this has finally sorted the mystery out for you,and I have to say I  Smile have great memories of this same area.

Haydn, you have got Aberbeeg bus stop mixed up with this one.The building just past the bus stop was a urinal, opposite the turning to Tyr Graig school and Brynhithel. The bus stop you are thinking of is the next one on the top of the hill down to Aberbeeg, opposite Babbettes ladies hairdressers.Iworked on Ralphs 62/67 and remember Jack very well, always very dapper with his little moustache.Sam Thorne was another inspector and Ivor Evans was in charge of the depot. He was always telling me off for not wearing a uniform cap
