Below is a photo sent in by Ian Jones (Boco). The man seated is Ian's great grandfather. Edwin Assender. Standing are his daughter Alice, her son and grandson. Four generations!
The photo was taken at their home in Lancaster Street, Six Bells.

I wonder if you've noticed the thread below -- British Legion 1940's-- it was started by a lady in Kingston Surrey and she mentions a Betty Assender,any relation ?If so, that bike did a lot of miles. Just a coincidence I hope but that's very near where my family are from (and my father had ginger hair).  |
