Anyway sorry to hijack the thread. If you do relaunch the Dolls House then, even if it is only bottles, some decent beer would be very welcome. _________________ The compliments pass when the quality meet.
By the by, my son was married in the Penndragon several years ago and they arranged for bottled beer to be available on the day, Tomas Watkin, if I remember. Very tasty. Things were a tad hazy by the end, mind. _________________ er gwaetha pawb a phopeth dwi'n dysgu o hyd!
Tomos Watkins is very nice - brewed in Dowlais or Rhymney I think. There are a few local brews which are worth checking out - Crow Valley from Cwmbran is also good. _________________ The compliments pass when the quality meet.
We went there a few times to see a few local and tribute bands that appeared when it first opened. I have also been to a few functions and weddings but generally don't drink as they don't serve Woodpecker, many of the pubs now seem to favour Strongbow or Magners the youngsters prefere stronger alchohol. I find them too strong and we nip off to another pub for a drink and then come back.
We enjoy the live music but they always put records on in between, their sound system is very loud so you do not get a break in between to carry on a conversation with family or friends to catch up on the weeks events unless you go outside or duck off to another pub. I don't mind background music between acts but not blasting away so that you cannot hear yourself think. but then I am one of the old crowd too
