For anyone who hasn't had a look at Graham Bennett's Lib Club history page on the main site but is researching your Abertillery family history at the start of the 20th century, then please have a look. Over 700 names of men from the area with details of addresses, occupation etc. I found my grandfather and his brother on it. Excellent resource thanks to Graham.

I also offer my thanks to Graham it is a wonderful resource which must have taken hours of time transcribing all those details. It established that my family did move to the Abertillery in the early 1900's my grandfathers brother is listed. I had trouble locating them on the 1901 census because of a number of mispellings and the address given ties up a number of loose ends. _________________ My life is no rehearsal There'll be no curtain call encore, so I've thrown my screwed up script away to ad lib my life once more! |
