Yes Liz, There is only one 'Old Church' as anyone born and bred in and around Abertillery knows! It is St Illtyds. I'm in the process of taking my dad's drawing out of the frame, then I will try and scan it. If I am successful it will be up in a little while.

After much tearing my hair out. I finally figured out how to do this picture. I hadn't disabled HTML so it wouldn't upload.  This was drawn about 1935 - 45. you will see there appears to be no gate. maybe it has been added since. When I am next in Abertillery I will go and have a look.

Here is the latest on that elusive drawing of St Illtyds.Apparently my dad drew it in the 1930's as a leaving present for the minister who was moving on. So wherever it is now, it's not in Llanhilleth. The only minister I remember from Glandwr baptist ir Mr Winstanley but that was in the late 1950's. The search goes on!

To be honest i did not yet seen that and it look's interesting cause aside from being a full time staff in a suorahaku or direct search i am also interested in different kind of art ,painting and also drawing which this one looks like an classing drawing.
