I would imagine a major panic has set in at Welsh Labour's HQ after the recent election results in the valleys. Alun Davies must be experiencing squeaky bum time at the prospect of next year's WAG elections. If there is any bandwagon passing he'll be jumping on it, no question about that.

Yes Martyn, it's very strange how important Alun Davies now finds the Abertillery rail link.
If we get a rail link at Abertillery it will be down to people power and not a self serving ex minister from Aberystwyth.
He hasn't shown the least interest in the rail link, he has had many opportunities to speak up for it in the Senedd and only now since Labour have had a wake up call from the people of the UK is he showing interest.
Oh it probably has nothing to do with an election coming up in the near future where many Labour AM's could get their butts kicked.
