Seeking information on William Hughes, circa 1805 married Mary Phillips of Cwm at St Peter's, Blaina 1828. They had son Ebenezer Hughes circa 1835 at Cwm who married Elizabeth Morgan of Ebbw Vale on July 11, 1857 at Chapel Abergavenny. THey moved to Scranton, Pennsylvania about 1859/60.

Abertillery was a small village in 1862, so basically land owners and farmers dominated before that,
Saw a Mary (30) and Ebenezeer (5) on the 1841 census - district Aberystruth - place Arril.
