Hello. My mother was evacuated to Six Bells as a 10 or 11 year old during the Second World War. I think it must have been 1940. She was put with a family called Watkins (I think) and then moved onto a family called Peterson. She was there for the duration of the war. Her name was Ivy Neck and is now 86 years old.
I'm wondering if anyone on here remembers her or has any information.
Thank you. _________________ Just retired after a fantastic career in Secondary schools in and around London.

There's a lot of people past and present with the surname Watkins from Six Bells. However, there was both a Watkins and a Peterson living on Marlborough Road, the latter had a bread round. Sorry can't help with Christian names. _________________ I use to be a schizophrenic but we're OK now.
Thanks for your response. Interesting that the names seem established in the area. My mum, Ivy, would have gone to school in the area (1940 to 1945) so I suppose I need someone who remembers her from there; maybe a son or daughter of the Watkins or Peterson families who was around her age at that time (11 or so?). _________________ Just retired after a fantastic career in Secondary schools in and around London.
